STURGEON BAY Betty Katherine Simonsen, 97, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Friday evening, November 22, 2019 at Oak Creek Assisted Living in Algoma where she resided the past four years. She was born August 5, 1922 in Lincoln, NE the daughter of the late Albert and Magdeleine (Han- sen) Gille. Betty graduated from Lincoln High School before attending Art School in Milwaukee.

She moved to Wisconsin with her aunt in Racine. Betty met Lloyd Alfred Simonsen while in Racine, and they were married on December 7, 1946. They were blessed with nearly 47 years of marriage. Lloyd preceded Betty in death on October 22, 1993. She worked at Seville Organ Company in Sturgeon Bay and Pharmacy in Sturgeon Bay as the window designer.

Betty was an artistic, creative woman, strong in her convictions, and was never afraid to try some- thing new. She was a member of St. Ev. Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Betty enjoyed quilting, collecting antique dolls, tending her floral gardens, walks in Potawatomi State Park, and volunteering with Meals on Wheels and at the community blood bank.

She loved spending time in the outdoors. Betty will be missed by her five children, Bill Simonsen of Appleton, Linda (Clyde) Hasenjager of Sturgeon Bay, Janet (Bob) Bender of Algoma, Kathy (Brian) Kettner of Appleton, and Ken (Wendy) Simonsen of Luxemburg; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; twin brother, Bob Gille; and great-granddaughter, Abigail Hasenjager. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019 at St.

Ev. Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel Sauer officiating. Betty will be laid to rest in Hainesville Cemetery, beside her husband, Lloyd. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:50 a.m.

The family would like to express its gratitude to Marie Pinchart and the compassionate caregivers of Oak Creek Assisted Living and also to Unity Hospice for their services. He was born March 4, 1942 in Milwaukee to Emil and Gloria (Alioto) Scheidecker. In 1963, he married the love of his life Darleen Blahnik; they were married for 57 years. Emil and Darleen owned and operated the for 31 years He is survived by his wife Darleen; a daughter Kris (Dave Lautenbach) Scheidecker and a son Chip; sisters-in-law, Suzie (Tom) Weidner, Lee Ann Sprifke, Jeanne (Richard) Klotz and brother-in- law Roland (Marie) Blahnik; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard (Patricia) Scheidecker; brother-in-law Tony Sprifke and niece Sandra Thompson. A celebration of his life (visitation) will be held at the Forbes Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec.

5, 2019 from 4:00 7:00 pm. A memorial mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at 11:00 am. Burial will be in St.

Wesner, a lifelong resi- dent of Gillett, WI passed away on Thursday morn- ing, November 21, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 14, 1953 in Shawano, son of Reinhold R. Wesner and Beatrice J. (Neuman) Wesner. He graduated from Gillett High School in 1971, set and still holds the school record for the 100 yard dash and was also noted for his speed on the football field.

Blake started his own Wisconsin Home Builders construction business and is well known in and around Gillett for the many projects he has done for people. He will always be remembered for his caring, giving and kind hearted ways. He was a member of St Lutheran Church, Gillett and served as its sexton for many years. Blake was very active, loved the outdoors, keep- ing the wildlife surrounding his house well-fed, golfing and four-wheeling with friends. He is known as held his group of longtime friends together, organizing many gatherings and outings.

Blake was a die hard Packer fan, made it to Superbowl XLV in 2011 Arlington, TX. In his younger days he traveled most of the states in the US, recently visited Austria, and this summer toured Alaska. Blake is survived by his sister Cindy (Dennis) Loken and his LOVE of his life; Donna Conant, special niece and nephew Kelly (Brady) Peters and Jason (Stephanie) Loken, and grandnieces Breana (Eric) Kelly, Ashley Loken, Eva and Ali Peters, great-grandniece Charlee Kelly and many special family, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, No- vember 29th 2019 at St Lutheran Church, 101 Main Gillett WI, visitation 9 AM to 11 AM, funeral services at 11 AM with Pastor William Kamke officiating. Blake E. Wesner ALGOMA Michael Urmanski, 56, Algoma, passed away Sunday Nov. 24, 2019 at a short battle with cancer. He was born March 28, 1963 in Wausau to Walter and Katherine (Hahnhe- iser) Urmanski. Michael graduated from Newman High School in Wausau.

He attended Marathon County College and then a tech school. He got his Bachelor of Science degree at UW Eau Claire. Michael married Carrie Clark in Eau Claire in 1985. He taught 3rd grade at the Mishicot Catholic Grade School, Reedsville grade school and then at St. Mary Catholic School in Algoma.

The couple moved to Algoma while Michael was teaching in Algoma. After giving up teaching he worked at the Piggly Wiggly in Kewaunee for about 26 years. Michael was an avid Packer fan for many years. He is survived by his wife Carrie, his step mother Jean Urmanski, brother Jack (John) (Debbie) Ur- manski, three sisters Mary Kay (Malcolm) Whit- tum, Ann (Tom) Line and Mary Alice (Steve) Benaszeski; two nieces Brianna Clark and Amanda Wiltgen and one nephew Gregory Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his mother Katherine and one brother Thomas.

Judy was born on January 25, 1940 in Oconto, WI daughter of the late John and Ione (Hanes) Port. She was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. Judy married the late Keith J.VanderMeulen Sr. and he preceded her in death in 1988. She owned and operated Ceramic Shop in Shawano for many years.

She later worked for American Medical Secu- rity as a Claims Adjuster until she retired. In 2005 she married Don Ammeter and they spent 14 years of marriage together. Judy found the most joy in life spending time with her children, grandchildren family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed baking, praying, reading, knitting, quilting, fishing and traveling with friends. Her faith was a very important part of her life, she was a member of St.

Agnes Parish where she belonged to Prayer Vine. She was a very strong woman and the best Mom and Grandma anyone could ask for. She was known as Grandma Judy to so many. Judy was a special lady with an exceptionally special heart. She is survived by her husband: Don Ammeter.

She also leaves her chil- dren. Sandy (Bob) Kadrlik, Mary (Romie) Kozicki, Ted Denissen, Darlene Wauters, Cory (Dan) Schardt, Lori Jurecki, Keith VanderMeulen Vicki (Cindy Spencer) ONeil, Michael (Lisa) VanderMeulen, Missy Hilliker, David (Suzie) Smet, Tessie Schimmel and the many other people whose lives she touched and considered her a mom. Judy leaves her step-children: Steve (Tammy) Ammeter, and Kim (Mark) Ryan, along with a sister, DeeDee Woodworth and a brother-in-law, Wayne VanderMeulen. She leaves her 35 beloved grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren (with one on the way), many extended family including family. Judy is preceded in death by her first husband Keith VanderMeulen Sr, grandson, Wade Kadrlik, sister-in-law, Doris VanderMeulen, and brother- in-law, Jerry Woodworth.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th from 9 AM 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Parish in Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in the church. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Howard.
